Originally from beautiful upstate New York, KJ is an LA based singer, songwriter, and musician. He crosses genre boundaries, having a unique blend of 50s doo wop and 70s soul. A true music lover, some of his influences include Sam Cooke, Solomon Burke, Otis Redding, Chet Baker, Elvis, Bob Marley, James Brown, and many more.
He aims to bring people together through music, and to spread the message of love and positivity.
In his spare time, KJ tutors for Reading Partners LA, a non-profit organization that provides tutoring to elementary students who are falling behind their reading level.
KJ is also an affiliate of the non-profit organization Mutual Aid LA which provides food, clothing, and assistance to those in need in the central LA areas. 10% of all KJ merchandise proceeds go to this great cause.
